Massaging the PC Muscles

The pubococcygeus muscle or simply the PC muscle is an important muscle found in the reproductive organs in both men and women. Basically, the PC muscles function to control a person's urge to urinate. Furthermore, it facilitates a person's orgasm during sexual intercourse. When the PC muscles are weakened, people can suffer from serious conditions in their bladder and urinary tract. So as to avoid contracting any urinary tract diseases, it is important that a person takes good care of his or her PC muscles.

One good way to strengthen the PC muscles is to perform Kegel exercises. Colloquially known simply as the Kegels, this exercise aims to make the PC muscles firm and toned. This form of exercise basically involves contracting and relaxing of the PC muscles that are considered part of a person's pelvic floor. Women and men can squeeze their PC muscles in an effort to help strengthen it. Whenever a person urinates, he can purposely stop the flow of urine. Controlling the flow of your urine for several times will help a person exercise and strengthen his or her PC muscles.

For women, a device called Kegel exerciser can help her take good care of her PC muscle. There are basically three types of Kegel exerciser than a woman can choose from. One is made of rubber bulbs, another one of barbells, and the last one of springs. A Kegel exerciser can just be inserted to the woman's vagina and is used to apply pressure on the PC muscles. With this device, performing the Kegel exercise becomes more convenient for every woman concerned of her sexual health.
